Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) was a great lover of fine wine. It is said that this Founding Father of the United States of America, honored on coinage and the $100 bill, taught Thomas Jefferson about French wine. They shared such famous Bordeaux examples as Chateau Margaux or Haut-Brion.
We owe the man also known as “the First American” some of the finest wine quotes in History including the following: “Wine makes daily life easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions, and more tolerance”.
So a wine lover’s day paced by Benjamin Franklin would be summarized as: hurry your life to get a $100 dollar bill, and spend it on wine to release the tensions!
One gets a very good bottle of wine for $100. Probably worth some hard work indeed…
