The best way to introduce this wine is to quote the producer on their intent with it: “An easy-to-drink wine perfect for any occasion. Our most recent label, this pleasant and refreshing wine is produced from young Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines.”
It’s clear and unpretentious, exactly what wine needs in many cases.
The label follows the same line, simplistic yet artistic design that seems to humbly suggest: “this wine is made for drinking, and that’s just what it’ll do“.
But does it hit the mark of its humble pretensions?
The answer is in the tasting notes:
Decent intensity a color, a rather intense red.
The nose display fresh fruity aromas of cherry and gooseberry. There’s also a fair amount of vegetal character, green pepper and green wood. The whole is lifted, quite spicy and feel refreshing. A touch of reduction weights the feel a little.
Palate is just as easy-going. Good acidity, grippy tannins and solid fruit flavors backed up by plenty of spices.
Overall
A simple, characterful, both fruity and spicy red wine that will accompany aperitivo (appetizers) and unpretentious dishes like barbecues and entrées well for a hustle-free enjoyment.
