Tasting Notes
Bright and rather pale lemon-yellow color with a hint a lime green, no pink hues here.
Extremely subtle, the nose delights with very delicate lime aromas, and a sea slat minerality, like walking on a foggy morning by a quiet sea. Fresh and elegant to smell, a touch of grassiness underlines the lime notes.
While the nose is aerial, the palate surprisingly brings in much more of an earthy feel. The wine has enormous personality and typicity, a feeling of clay combined with the typical forest floor character of Pinot Noir are joined in by delicate floral notes, and discrete citrus tones. Well balanced with concentrated acidity, sugars do make themselves taste perceivable and the finish is slightly dry with a velvety sensation of clay, ending then on a savory touch.
A Pinot Noir Champagne sparkling wine with a huge amount of character, and plenty of concentration. A delight to experience as it’s so different from most Champagne expressions out there. A distinct, affirmed yet successful personality for this single vineyard Champagne.
Retails around $35-40 or 30-35€.
