Score : 88/100
The wine comes in a bright lemon-yellow color of medium intensity.
Fragrant nose full of fresh and fruity aromas, like an orchard full of rich sweet aromatic fruits: pear, pink apples, lemon, and grapefruit. Primary and gorgeous to smell.
No obvious presence of oak here, or of secondary leesy or toasted characters. Pure elegant juicy fruit.
The palate confirms this impression, it’s an explosion of citrus and peep fruits!
The fruitiness is underlined by a zesty acidity, and again, no flavor noise other than the fruit ones.
The texture strikes hard with its great balance. Extremely smooth texture and silky bubbles feel like a creamy cloud on the palate, and add much finesse to the experience.
Some may find, in the subtleties of the wine’s profile, some creamy custard, slightly eggy aromas, a hint of lifted vegetal character, as well as a mineral salinity to the finish. All add complexity and extra notes completing positively the whole.
It does feel rather sweet for a Brut accentuating the exuberance, but being a Brut it stays within the frame a relatively dry style.
A fruit-bomb of a sparkling wine in a refined and very elegant style.
It delivers a wealth of rich orchard-fruit aromas and flavors within a very well executed finesse, and delightful smooth silky texture.
A bubbly that will please most palates thanks to its primary upfront approach to aromas that those who like sweet sparklings will enjoy, but also with its refinement that lovers of fine balanced bubbles will appreciate.
Wine & Food Pairing?
Probably more of a wine to go with subtle starters and canapés.
Though its acidic citrus tones and its touch of sweetness will probably do wonders on delicate seafood dishes, like a splash of sweet lemon does.
