Tasting Notes
This Rosé comes in a very bright and rather intense pink color, just check out the photo’s color! Light yellow hues give it a slight salmon color, but it’s mostly frankly pink overall.
The aromas on the nose are also frank and frankly like you expect from a very fruity rosé, plenty of intense fresh red berry fruits: strawberry, blueberry, cherry. It remains elegant though, with a certain saline minerality shining through the berry bush.
On the palate, the wine feels fresh with good acidity, and just a touch of sweetness to intensify the fruity sensation. But the overall feel is quite dry and more savory than we’d expect from smelling it. Mid-bodied, bubbles are relatively fine, and the finish displays an enjoyable slightly drying and salty finish with a few soft phenolics.
Overall
A well-made sparkling rosé that will please most palates, providing both a very upfront fruity character for lovers of approachable pink bubbly, but also the refinement, dryness, and mineral character of a Crémant wine aged on lees for more than a year and rooted in the Burgundy terroir.
Enjoy 🙂
