Tasting Notes
This Provence rosé comes in a bright and rather pale pink color, a little salmon of medium-to-low intensity, a little gris, typical of the Cotes de Provence style.
This is a very early bottling of the new 2016 vintage, so the nose feels a little tight and closed. There are subtle yet pungent citrus notes, juicy grapefruit and lime. A little vegetal acacia making it smell fresh and zingy.
The palate is expectedly dry, but oily and balanced thanks to a good body and smooth acidity.
Vibrant flavors of citrus here too, complemented by spicy white pepper notes.
Refreshing, dry, elegant and well balanced, a refined and subtle Provence rosé that should delight lovers of such a restrained style of French pink wine.
Enjoy 🙂
