Every year, an important event gathering a bunch of wine writers, journalists, bloggers and influencers from around the world takes place in the South of France, more precisely in the Languedoc wine country.
The event is called Terroir & Millésimes aka the #LanguedocWeek…
What is Languedoc?
If you’re not over familiar with the Languedoc wine region and its wines, or want to learn more, click on the image below for a presentation article of Languedoc, otherwise read on.
For the context, the Languedoc-Roussillon region is one of the very biggest wine-producing areas in the world, producing no less than 5% of the world’s total wine production.
The region has gone through a complete renaissance over the past 10 to 15 years, now gaining more and more in fame and recognition for the quality of its wine. Find more statistics about the area, and recommended Languedoc wines by clicking on the image below or right here.
So What is the Languedoc Week?
Essentially a week to explore the region, taste and talk about its wines. Find below my images and my sharing on social media during the week.
Exploring Languedoc
Languedoc counts with beautiful vineyard landscapes, often rugged where vines struggle to survive because of the pour soil and the dry weather conditions.
