Tasting Notes
This Patagonian Pinot comes in a bright red color, with hints of orange hues to the rim, with a medium intensity, yet looking quite intense for a Pinot Noir.
The nose is powerful and richly-scented, again for a Pinot. Warm cherry liqueur notes, together with fresh cherry aromas, plenty of green and black pepper, blackberry, clove, vanilla, dark cocoa and caramel. It’s comforting and pleasing to smell at. Pungently and ripely fruity, as well as spicy with intense notes of torrefaction.
The palate features a medium body and medium tannins, yet it’s feels full-bodied and round for the grape. Bursting spicy notes of black pepper, with a juicy, meaty, and mouth-watering feel. The mid-palate is soft and warm, displaying a wealth of jammy cherry and blackberry flavors. The finish is quite long and with several layers offering good complexity.
Enjoy 🙂
