Tasting Notes
With a bright red color of medium intensity, looking youthful with purple hues, this Bordeaux red from the Northern Blaye area has a lifted fruity nose featuring precise sour cherry aromas. More importantly, it smells and feels rather spicy boast notes of white pepper and green chili aplenty.
The palate is soft and relatively round as expected from Merlot, on a relatively light body and tannic density. This is a dry Merlot in an acidic and more savory than sweet/opulent expression.
Well made, the aromas of cherry and red berries marry touches of caramel and clove for an enjoyable, clean and precise whole.
A wine to pair with grilled meats and other generous dishes.
Its savoriness and marked acidity, as well as its slightly drying salivating feel, and the dominant pepperiness will allow it to cut through the richness of the food and provide a satisfying thirst-quenching fruity experience.
Enjoy 🙂
