Score: 91/100
The 1er Cru vineyards of Aux Murgers is a classified appellation area North of the Nuits-Saint-Georges village in the Cotes de Nuits zone of Burgundy.
Like many vineyards, Aux Murgers produces exclusively Pinot Noir grapes which were obviously also used to make this wine by Patriarche Père et Fils.

Overall Tasting Notes & Impressions
A ripe and upfront fruity Pinot Noir, filled with opulent and pungent flavors of sour cherry and redcurrant, and featuring big burst of white pepper spiciness as well as gorgeous a sweet-tasting nutmeg character.
The palate is smooth and generous, full of tension between a dry crispy acidity, with elements of vegetal character tasting like strawberry seeds, and the opulence delivered by cherry liqueur flavors.
A luscious, easy-to-enjoy Pinot Noir Burgundy wine, with depth and layers of spicy complexity, the right amount of oaky goodness, and certainly the generosity of a luscious 2010 vintage.
Enjoy 🙂
