Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions
A pungently aromatic red featuring deep and intense aromas of vanilla and oaky caramel on a ripe plum and blackberry background.
A heap of sweet spices and delicate peppery and earthy notes complement a layered and tempting, comforting and warming aromatic profile.
Tannins are smooth on a generous oily texture yet freshened and kept lively by a crisp and salivating acidity.
Flavors of fresh redberry, lemon peel and sandal wood give an opulent, fruity and oaky experience. While the oak is certainly present, it is well integrated and seems to respect the richness and precision of the cooked fruit expression.
A juicy and layered finish make for an overall very pleasing and comforting tasting experience. A warm and rich red, slightly earthy and subtly savory in a typical Spanish style.
This Tempranillo wine convinces thanks to its layered complexity, and overall balance of flavors, none of which is too obvious or overpowering.
Wine & Food Pairing?
A wine to be paired with generously-flavored dishes, barbecues, tapas, Spanish chorizo sausage, pasta, spicy chicken and many more extrovert foods.
Enjoy 🙂
