Domaine Beausejour is a wine estate run in the heart of the Loire Valley (the valley of French Kings), on the banks of the river Cher in Touraine sub-area.
At Beausejour, four generations of vignerons have built a legacy and have always wanted the vine and the wine to express themselves completely.
Today, Philippe & Valerie Trotignon work on the 50-acre vineyards scattered on the rural town districts of Noyers sur Cher and St Romain sur Cher.
Philippe took over the estate as a whole in 2002, after having worked on it in GAEC with his parents (Jean-Paul and Colette) for 15 years.
Overall Wine Review Notes & Tasting Impressions
A Loire Sauvignon Blanc wine with a super-vibrant taste, bursting with citrusy flavors underlined by a crisp and salivating acidity.
In a dry style but well balanced by hints of residuals sugars, it sips easily giving a refreshing and zingy sensation. The fruit notes and aromas are clearly dominating the experience, they are pure and clean.
Fresh pear come with a wealth of tropical tones, mango, pineapple and delicate passion fruit. Some spicy white pepper and a slight sense of grassiness, make for an excellent Sauvignon Blanc delivering the whole spectrum of rather complex fruity flavors, typical of a ripe yet subtly grassy Sauvignon Blanc expression.
Clearly a very well made white wine that will satisfy demanding lovers of the grape variety.
An easy but very interesting and always enjoyable sip. A Loire wine you take pleasure going back to! Always a good sign…
