In reply to midivin. Thanks for the feedback. As said in the piece, Klout score is not perfect but I don't know of a better indicator of social influence that would be publically available. Hey my roots are in Roussillon. I'll have to cover Languedoc-Roussillon wines more in the future :-)

Sorry for my poor english …
Surprise find as influencer , a French which I never heard before. Well it is true that he did not seem to speak much of Languedoc Roussillon wines. And then the Klout score as the criterion of influence remains largely questionable as the number of followers for Twitter. A ranking : yes. Influencer on social media ? The question remains open.

This was a great post Julien. A quick calculation in terms of Twitter followers by ‘wine entity’- location is very interesting. USA 810k ; UK 301k ; Aus 165k ; NZ 143k etc. Where are the so-called old world influencers? or does English trump?
I would love for you to revisit the topic in say 6 months to a year and re-post.
ps, most of those on the list are those whom I choose to follow on twitter.
