The variety in Italian wine is just enormous. So many grape varieties turned into wine all around the country.
But the variety in Italian cheese is just as overwhelming.
There’s so many different wines and cheeses in Italy, that with our partners at His and Her Wine, we’ve had to split the pairings into two parts.
Below is Part 2, focused on Southern Italy, with just the Sparkling Prosecco from the North to break things up a little bit amongst the reds.
The one you absolutely need to try is the Sardinian Grenache (locally called Cannonau) with Cazu Marzu cheese, full of live worms… Interesting !! All the other pairings are sightly less adventurous, but just as enjoyable…
Make sure you also check on Italian Wine & Cheese Pairing Part 1.
