Social Vignerons is a website to showcase all the talent found in the many facets of the world of wine: its people, its places, the amazing knowledge that relates to it, the enjoyable moments with friends matching with food or traveling, the processes and products, accessories, and everything else around it…
Not only do we produce a wealth of content (see detailed categories below) highlighting the genius created by our community through sharing, caring, laughing, tasting, inventing, crafting beverages, and much more…
But we also invite many guests to tell us about their contribution, the talent in their work… (learn how to be our guest and become a supporter)
Beyond this general definition of our purpose, let’s give you below some more practical details about who we are and what we do:

As a consultant for people and brands that want to reveal their true self to the world using the web and social media, I often get asked:

Talk about who you are:
Social Vignerons was founded in December 2014 by French winemaker Julien Miquel while he was based in New Zealand, hence the English writing.
Julien is now located in the Roussillon region in Southern France.
Julien made some of the finest wines around the world for over 10 years: in his France’s homeland, but also Tuscany region of Italy, Spain, Sonoma County of California, Australia and New Zealand.
In 2009, he decided that his expertise in wine should not only be available to the people physically tasting the wines he’d made, but be spread over to the wider worldwide wine community. He joined the world leading wine website Wine-Searcher.com.
For over 5 years leading teams of international wine experts from all around the world at Wine-Searcher, Julien produced and developed the online content for the world’s most-visited wine website, placing it as THE uncontested leader amongst all wine-related websites.
Social Vignerons is Julien’s new online venture, aiming at providing the world wine community with quality yet approachable content:
- Through the SocialVignerons.com website itself
- Assisting and consulting actors of the alcoholic beverages industry so they too can supply drinkers with genuine and entertaining content (more info on our services page).
