This Roussillon white wine called ‘Legacy’ by Domaine Rety is a totally new cuvée for the winery, their first ever Blanc (white wine).
It come under the Côtes Catalanes IGP appellation, and was made from a blend of 90% Macabeu (local Catalan name for the Viura or Macabeo grape variety) and 10% Muscat Petit Grains, sourced from old vines.
It is the start of a collaboration between Domaine owner Patrick and his wine aficionado brother Jean-Marc.
Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions
A French Roussillon white, Rety’s Legacy blanc features a bright and shiny lemon-yellow color with delicate floral notes of lily to the nose, complemented by subtle Muscat scents, apricot and white peach, together with a distinctive Riesling-like petroleum character.
The aromatic profile display finesse, freshness and liveliness.
This is a dry white with a crisp, refreshing and zesty acidity. A wine for pairing with seafoods and summery dishes, salads and entrées.
Balanced and elegant, the juicy lime and stonefruit flavors please the senses.
A refined well-crafted crisp dry white.
