Wine helps us appreciate the beauty of nature to the fullest, elevating our spirits. What’s best than contemplating a sunset with a good friend or your loved one, sharing a glass of wine…
With wine, nature offers us a way to appreciate her not only through sight, but also with taste. The taste of “sunlight, held together by water” as Galileo Galilei said.
Bruno Cordioli captured one of these magical moments of symbiosis with nature at the Garda Lake in Northern Italy. Find more of his artwork and the original picture here.

The Trentino Garda area half-way between Brescia and Verona is favorable for vine-growing. Its microclimate tempered by the lake’s water mass allows to grow many wine grape varieties:
- local ones like Nosiola, Schiava or Lagrein
- internationally acclaimed varieties like Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Grigio, Sauvignon and Traminer Aromatico.
The surroundings of Lake Garga produce such famous DOC wines as Lugana (still or spumante) or Bardolino, but also the more local Garda Classico Rosso (red) or Chiaretto (rosé).
