Tasting Notes
This Argentinian Pinot Grigio (Gris) comes in a rather pale lemon-yellow color, with slight green hues, typical of the style: looking light and refreshing in the Italian fashion for the Grigio.
The nose is also bright and fruity, floral also like Gris or Grigio tends to be: pear, apricot, rose petals dominate the aroma profile. Touches of white pepper lift up the smell. With some enjoyable spiciness.
The palate is dry but balanced, not perceptible residual sugars, but the acidity that feels crisp and refreshing enough doesn’t bother. The overall feel is smooth, light-bodied, and zesty.
Overall
A well-made Pinot Grigio, all about zesty citrus flavors and an easy refreshing approach. Easy to sip it is. Easy to sip it will be especially on a warm summery day. Easy to enjoy for it upfront fruity/floral approach and its perfect cleanliness.
Definitely a thirst-quenching quaffer that will be at its best on barbecues and fun wine moments.
Wine & Food Pairing?
This Griogio will do wonders on grilled meats and barbecue. The Argentinians are fond of grilled meats, that are kind of their national dish, and most definitely some of the country’s favorite foods.
No wonders they make wine to go with it, like this refreshing Grafgigna Griogio or for red wine lovers, the famous Argentina Malbecs.
