Hugel is a renown winery and negociant based in the village of Riquewihr in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards.
The Hugel wines have recently gone through a slight re-branding.
Labels still display the dinstinctive yellow color inspired by the Maggi soup brand of the early 20th century, but the design has been refreshed and modernized.
Old & New Label Designs of Famille Hugel Wine Labels:
The Estate range is entirely new, for Riesling and Gewurztraminer only, from the clay marl soils typical of the vineyards around the Hugel’s hometown of Riquewihr.The very recent release of Schoelhammer has been added to the range, and the Grossi Laüe range succeeds the Jubilee range whose last vintage was for 2009.

Famille Hugel Headquarter and Tasting Room in Riquewihr
Famille Hugel winery is located in the heart of the old city of Riquewihr, which is visited by over two million people every year. Access to the cellars and tasting room is only possible on foot, as cars are not allowed in many streets of the village.
The small tasting room in a street corner (pictured above) is open every day from Easter to Christmas.
Fun Marketing Riesling Posters
Spotted in the winery’s private tasting rooms, are gathered fun posters promoting Hugel wines and Alsatian Riesling and claiming:
