This Blanc de Noirs Champagne received the BRONZE Award at Social Vignerons Blanc de Noirs Champagne AWARDS.
This is a Non-Vintage cuvée.
Translucent lemon-yellow color, slightly pale, and slightly gris.
The nose is restrained, elegant, and introvert. A distinct minerality shines through the aromatic profile giving it tension just at smelling it. The grapefruit characters are shy on the nose, as are the nuts and buttery tones.
The palate confirms that the winemaker’s intent through this wine is clearly freshness and minerality rather than the expression of primary fruit. There is a great tension maintained all through the palate, sustained by crisp acidity. But an excellent balance from the right amount of body, very discrete sugars (must be a relatively low dosage), and very fine bubbles perfectly round up the crispiness leaving your palate free to enjoy the layered flavors.
Like on the nose, no dominant flavor takes control over the palate. Rather, some limy fruit, acidic fresh strawberry notes, walnut, and creamy milk characters are expressed harmoniously. The mineral character is confirmed by a touch of iodine saltiness to the finish.
A delightful perfectly-balanced Blanc de Noirs sparking wine, for lovers of tension and minerality in their Champagne.
