Tasting Notes
This Rioja white comes in a rather standard lemon-yellow color of medium intensity. Hints of orange hue do add some intensity and a touch of personality to the appearance.
The nose appears mainly floral and grassy, a little introvert, dominated by acacia and daisy aromas.
Touches of lemon and pomegranate add some zesty and welcome fruitiness to the profile.
Fresh and lively to smell!
The palate displays some zesty acidity too on an oily coating texture. The whole feels balances, dry, and fresh.
After a burst of citrus, lemon flavors, develop many layers of pineapple, honey, elderflower notes, lifted and deepen by enjoyable and powerful leesy characters. Toasted hazelnut and white pepper spice populate strongly the finish for a long and creamy sensation.
Like the dough element in a lemon tart, these toasty biscuit notes complement the zesty lemon flavors perfectly, and provide a lasting buttery feel that makes you salivate after tasting (yes, there is some mineral salinity in there too, like in any good buttery dough) and finish on a tasty note.
Overall
A fresh, crisp and zesty dry Rioja white wine that also delivers in personality with a rich oily texture. Passed the enjoyable abundance of citrus and floral flavors, the outstanding feature here is the toasty, creamy, and mineral finish that makes the whole feel complete, balanced and long.
Enjoy 🙂
