Tasting Notes
This Bordeaux Rouge comes in a pretty intense and dark red color filled with youthful purple hues giving depth to its appearance.
The nose feels fruity and suave, dominated by aromas of vanilla and ripe cherry with vibrant fresh blackcurrant and blackberry notes. Tempting!
The wine feels smooth on the palate, dry with good acidity but more importantly featuring soft velvety tannins and a round body. The whole feels almost silky and generous, certainly easy to enjoy.
The dominant flavors of cherry liqueur, black pepper, and ripe red bell pepper are coated in abundant although well integrated oaky vanilla, clove and caramel notes.
Overall
A very pleasant and likeable Bordeaux wine, remarkably soft and dry for a Cabernet Sauvignon wine. It features lively fruity characters and a very soft smooth texture, while delivering a sense of savoriness from being spicy, dry, with a solid acidity and a distinct licorice-like personality.
A solid affordable Bordeaux, enjoyably and proudly providing an entry point to the wine universe the great French wine region offers. Fruity and somewhat restrained generosity, a smooth and somewhat savory expression of Cabernet Sauvignon in a convincing French style.
Enjoy 🙂
