To reveal a wine’s true essence, aeration is an essential step, and one we often skip.
That is why we created the first Smart Wine Aerator: to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy wine at its best by determining the exact level of aeration for any wine – and instantly mixing in the precise level of oxygen for that wine.
On March 28, we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to finance the production of the first batch of Aveine Smart Wine Aerators. The initial goal was $30,000. Just a few hours after the campaign started, we reached 100% of our goal. And in less than 2 days, we reached 200%.
How did we react? “WOW”. And it seemed like it was just the beginning…
Today, we have raised just over $80,000 thanks to more than 520 backers, from 44 different countries! What have we learned from this?
Wine lovers are open to new technologies when it comes to enhancing the wine tasting experience. The recent successful campaigns of Wine Tech companies we see on Indiegogo, such as Caveasy and its connected wine rack prove this. People want to drink better, to serve better, and they want more efficient solutions to preserve their wine.
At Aveine, we consider the success of our Indiegogo campaign as a proof of concept.
People tend to pay more attention to the way they drink, and they understand the need for proper aeration. They know that wine is one of our oldest and most beautiful traditions, and they want to show it respect by choosing, preserving and drinking in the best possible conditions.
And now, technology is a welcome addition if the result is to enjoy wine at its best.
Now that we have reached our initial goal, our next objective is to raise $120,000.
The funds would give us the necessary means to work on additional functionalities to the Smart Wine Aerator, such as temperature information.
Two weeks left, and there are still some aerators available at a preferential price:
To all of our current and future backers: Thank you for your support and trust!
