Greenfields Non-Vintage
Score: 91+/100 points
Gold Medal Wine of Great Britain Awards 2018.
Premium non-vintage cuvée by Denbies
Made from 85% Pinot Noir, 13.5% Chardonnay and 1.5% Pinot Meunier (Champagne blend).
Only the very best hand-picked grapes of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from the estate are used in this blend. Grapes were whole-berry pressed, giving the finest free-run juice. Fermented at cool temperatures followed by a malolactic fermentation. Long ageing on lees benefits to its complexity and richness.
Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions
With an intense shiny lemon-yellow color with golden hues, the wine features fine frothy bubbles.
The nose feels rich and fruity, boasting intense notes of white peach, apricot and ripe lemon, smoothened by delicate buttery scents, brioche. A tempting vibrant aromatic profile.
This is a dry sparkling wine with an oily texture and fine bubbles coating your palate on a rich textural body. Lovely acidic backbone allows for an explosion of stonefruit flavors, floral elements (elderflower) white pepper and mixed spices, nuts and baking scents.
An excellent non-vintage cuvée shining intensely through the vibrancy of its fruity characters, an oily body perfectly balanced by a lively acidity, and a long and layered finish.
A wine perfect for pairing with a large variety of delicate food dishes, from seafood to mild cheese. But make sure to give it a taste by itself as well, as it is very expressive and has a lot to say…

Denbies Cubitt Blanc de Noirs 2013
Score: 92/100 points
Hand-picked Pinot noir from the Hillside vineyard on Denbies’ Estate.
Whole bunches of the best Pinot Noir grown at Denbies were delicately pressed. This resulted in a premium juice that was carefully fermented at a low temperature to maintain the fruit’s premium character. Six months on lees, in tank, was followed by bottling in May 2014. It then went through secondary fermentation in the bottle and kept in the cellar, to mature, for a further 40 months.
Overall Review Notes & Tasting Impressions
With a delightful shiny color, an intense lemon-yellow with deep amber hues.
The deep and intriguing aromatic profile features delicate notes of lime and honey, with a distinctive subtle bouquet from the long ageing in bottle, wax and beeswax, walnut and sweet spices. A floral lily expression shines through, helped by vibrant grapefruit scents, uplifting the nose’s fruitiness and vibrancy.
This a very dry wine with a mineral and focused acidity keeping the tension alive all along the tasting. Cubitt Blanc de Noirs tastes like crisp and zingy lime, augmented by elegant sandal wood, floral notes and beeswax.
A wine made for gourmet and connoisseurs, and for pairing with sophisticated foods, Michelin-stared restaurant dishes, delicate entrees.
The finesse and refinement here is outstanding!
