Tasting Notes
This rather rare varietal Pinot Gris from Burgundy comes in a bright and somehow intense yellow color with gold hues, slightly amber.
The aromatic intensity is medium but with bright of citrus fruit and honey, a touch of grassy acacia notes, and slightly spicy, curry-like scented.
The palate has a good vibrancy from a zesty acidity, on a mid-body but a nicely balancing oily texture. Joyful flavors of lemon and honey again, with waxy spices. Some salty phenolics to the finish make you salivate positively.
Overall
A dry and mineral Pinot Gris displaying its fruity characters happily with an enjoyable complement from spicy and waxy tertiary flavors from its few years of age. The whole makes for a easy-to-drink crisp white wine with some elegance and depth.
