Tasting Notes
This Provence Red comes in a relatively dark red color, not immensely deep, but intense enough, and with hints of orange hues to the rim.
The nose is vibrantly fruity, quite deep too, filled with aromas of cooked fruits, reminding of an apple and blackberry crumble. Hints of caramel (molasses), and touches of white pepper spiciness lift things up a little. Pleasing, upfront fruity to smell at!
The palate is very smooth, and rather oily, although the wine feels light and easy to drink. Some intense bursts of fruity flavors capture your senses. Warming cherry and blackcurrant liqueur flavors, combined with plenty of orange juice and orange peel somewhat remind of the taste of sangria, but a dry one. There are sweet spices in there as well, cinnamon and clove.
Tannins are quite discrete and soft for a wine that feels overall round and generous, opulent and rather concentrated in flavors.
The whole is pleasant, richly-scented and very comforting, delivering big burst of liberal fruit and sweet spicy sensations.
Enjoy 🙂
